Cahaya matahari Ogos menyepuh Menara Berkembar Petronas di Kuala Lumpur, dan kedai-kedai di sepanjang jalan digantung dengan “jalur kegemilangan” berwarna merah dan putih. Pada musim ini apabila bendera negara berkibar, bingkai bendera negara bertatahkan bunga raya mencetuskan perbincangan hangat di media sosial – ini bukan sahaja penghormatan kepada semangat kemerdekaan, tetapi juga penggambaran abadi watak kebangsaan. Empat penjuru bingkai itu dihiasi dengan bunga raya, bunga kebangsaan, yang merujuk kepada empat tiang perlembagaan negara; jalur merah dan putih mengalir melaluinya seperti saluran darah, dan empat belas sinar cahaya adalah seperti kumpulan etnik yang berbeza berjalan berpegangan tangan. Apabila orang membenamkan foto lama yang kekuningan atau potret keluarga yang serba baharu di dalamnya, mereka sebenarnya menggabungkan takdir peribadi dengan naratif keluarga dan negara – perjuangan bapa di sudut pudar, tunas baru bercambah dalam senyuman anak-anak kecil, semuanya menjadi kepingan teka-teki zaman di bawah sokongan kelopak bunga raya. Makna mendalam bingkai ini terletak pada keengganannya untuk membenarkan sejarah menjadi spesimen muzium. Apabila seorang suri rumah mengelap kaca bingkai foto, dia melindungi pelajaran patriotik di dapur; apabila seorang anak muda meletakkannya di sebelah sijil tamat pengajiannya, dia terus menulis bab “Malaysia boleh”. Setiap barisan yang usang telah menyaksikan perkongsian Ramadan, tanglung pembunuh syaitan dan sampul merah Tahun Baru Imlek, sama seperti bulan sabit pada bendera negara memeluk buruj bintang yang pelbagai. Semasa kami memegang bingkai foto merah dan putih ini pada masa ini, kami bukan sahaja merangka masa enam puluh enam tahun, tetapi juga janji untuk memastikan empat belas bintang bersinar – berakar di tanah dengan ketabahan bunga raya, dan menggunakan tepi dan sudut bingkai foto untuk menyokong langit yang kita semua memandang tinggi. When people embed yellowed old photos or brand new family portraits in it, they are actually fusing personal destiny with the narrative of the country and family – the struggles of the fathers in the faded corners, the new buds sprouting in the smiles of the children, all become the puzzle of the times under the support of hibiscus petals. The deep meaning of this photo frame is that it refuses to let history become a specimen in the museum. When the housewife wipes the glass of the photo frame, she is protecting the patriotic lesson in the kitchen; when the young people put it next to the graduation certificate, they are continuing the chapter of “Malaysia can”. Each worn line has witnessed Ramadan sharing, demon-killing lanterns and Lunar New Year red envelopes, just like the crescent moon on the national flag embraces a diverse constellation. At this moment, we hold up this red and white photo frame, not only 66 years of time, but also the promise to keep 14 stars shining – rooted in the land with the tenacity of hibiscus, and use the edges and corners of the photo frame to support the sky we all look up to. This is a time capsule that belongs to every citizen. When the descendants open it again, they will be able to touch the hot heartbeat of this era.
